When I joined, I had no clue about the Utility Industry but thankfully, SEW invested in me and provided me the opportunity to succeed. I have worked for many startups over my 30+ year career and several have been high-growth, but nothing has compared to SEW. To have successful products, delivering them to an industry that so badly needs them, serving a mission, working with people so dedicated, and customers so committed, it truly has been (continues to be) a career opportunity of a lifetime. ​

My journey at SEW has been rewarding and challenging. I started at SEW when there was only a handful of employees and it has been amazing being able to see the direct impact the people engagement team has had on SEW’s growth, we are now a global company with diverse talents across the world. Being able to bring people together for a common interest that directly impacts the globe and resources we use every day is a very satisfying and rewarding opportunity. The people engagement team has made sure to grow and cultivate the SEW team into the family it is today, I am so thankful for this opportunity and look forward to the expansions we will have this year
 

I started my journey in 2014 and it’s been 7 wonderful years already. I am fortunate to be part of an organization whose journey has been through leaps and bounds, and I have been a witness to most of them. With SEW, I got opportunities to work on many new, and challenging projects, and the learning curve has been exceptional – and I am thankful to have worked alongside a great team who always have my back.

Best part of working at SEW is that we are all connected by the same vision, and all of us are working towards the same goal. This truly creates a family where everybody is working hand-in-hand, supporting and guiding each other.
Most challenging and rewarding thing about working with SEW is that it gives us unique learning opportunities - creating exceptional applications in the field of ever evolving UX for CX, WX and IX. To meet the extensive requirements – we need to be at par with the latest technology, its functionalities, and learn and adapt quickly. We need to keep multiple factors in mind when designing - Designs, Technology, ADA, Responsiveness, and usually mange to deliver get a ‘WOW’, that too in the smallest possible timeframe.

Every day at SEW is memorable. There is not one day where we don’t push ourselves in terms of creativity, efficiency and effectiveness. And when the fruit of our labor is recognized – the hard work is worth it. So to sum up- every challenge, every learning opportunity that we encounter at SEW become a memory worth cherishing.
My advice for people would be to never stop learning. Don't ever lose the student inside you, learn as much as possible, from where you can, and from whom you can. Knowledge is golden so make the most of it
 

I joined SEW as a fresher from JIMS in 2016 and I am currently working as Product Lead for SMW. My journey has been challenging, enriching and wholesome learning experience for me because I got to work on various things from marketing research to product management. I enjoyed the autonomy, while also having to shoulder responsibilities closely with the leadership. I wasn’t restricted to just one kind of profile in my journey and I felt like I was adding value to the company and my skills were being optimally utilized at the same time. I was surprised to see how engaged and supportive everyone has been in giving me opportunities to learn, challenging me on projects, sharing insights & discussing about my career aspirations. It’s something that I’m proud of and I talk to friends and family about Best part of working with SEW is that we fit pieces of the puzzle together. I am glad that I got the opportunity to work in an environment that focuses on enabling each other and celebrating team accomplishments. I love having a voice. We get an opportunity here to share our ideas and the whole team works together to make them happen and you are appreciated at the same time for your hard-work.

Most challenging and rewarding for me was First, Collaboration, I love my job because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission. Secondly, Trust, the management has put in me to handle big projects as a part of the product, which in return has enhanced my capabilities. And thirdly, bringing solutions to the table that were logical and reasonable and getting your team members, having enormous experience in this field, on board, with those solutions.

In the span of more than 5 years, I have experienced many moments which were not only memorable but also at the same time kept me motivated. Being a part of successful client deliveries and that too major ones like PG&E/Burbank Water & Power/Dakota County etc. is totally unforgettable and getting rewarded at the same time adds more charm to it. I can never fail to recall the three rewards I got in this journey – MVP, Loyalty and Excellence. One thing which I personally can’t forget is that I was able to work from 3 offices of SEW – India, USA and Canada and meeting different people.

1. How have your journey at SEW been so far? 
One word - Fantastic. Full of learning with every step towards the success of SEW. We were a team of 10 members when I joined SEW in 2012. Now when I see back, I can proudly say that we have laid down a very strong foundation that acts as the pillar of support & strength for SEW to achieve milestones at every stage.
 
2. What do you love about your job and working at SEW?
Freedom of Speech and Expression. SEW leadership has always trusted me and allowed me to share my ideas & always taken it positively. I always felt like I am working and contributing to the success of my own family. Thanks to SEW leadership for creating this atmosphere of trust and confidence.
 
3. What do you find most challenging & most rewarding about your role at SEW?
I joined SEW as a Senior Software Engineer, Android around 10 years ago and now I am working as a Director of Product Engineering, Android. A most challenging job for me was to create an environment in Android Team where everyone feels like a member of one big family, and no one feels left out ever. I believe in “Working Together and Growing Together”. My journey is full of rewards, first and most important is the friends I have made and the respect which I earned from my colleagues and management.
 
4. What was your most memorable moment in your SEW journey?
Every Milestone I achieved is memorable to me. Whether it is implementation of GWP where I worked as Developer or the Implementation Fairfax where I worked as Development Lead or OG&E implementation. One of the most the best moment of my journey is when we got a 4.9 rating on app stores for mobile apps of SWG and SDG&E. Delivering full versions of both implementations successfully is a big achievement for all of us. I can say proudly that we have a very strong foundation-base in Mobile Team.
 
5. What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?
Don’t take shortcuts in life, have patience, and trust yourself. Don’t get distracted by comparing your journey with others. Focus on your journey, trust yourself and success will follow you. Remember, life is like trekking where Start and End are the same for everyone only difference is the path which you follow can be different to reach the end. Eventually, we all will meet at the end so don’t worry and keep your focus and determination high.
 

1. How have your journey at SEW been so far?
I started my Job in SEW when we were a team of 50 members. Being part of the SEW growth at each step and watching it grow to 1000+ employees is part of my success story. This is a very big achievement for SEW team including me. In a nutshell, my journey at SEW is full of growth opportunities, learning, personal growth & success.

2. What do you love about your job and working at SEW?
SEW is a very supportive company that treats employees as its greatest asset. It provides a positive & healthy atmosphere that encourages me to go to work every day. My job profile demands handling multiple client deployments, regular skill upgradation and be exposed to new tools and technologies. Best part is that all the team members and managers are always supportive which helps me meet these requirements and handle work challenges. 

3. What do you find most challenging & most rewarding about your role at SEW?
One of my biggest challenge is adjusting to the new workflow. I have worked with many clients from preparing the demo to taking it forward to the Production. I faced many challenges during the work course but every time I took that positively and made sure to learn from them. 
My most rewarding experience has been mentoring my team members and get the best out of it. Recently our team worked impressively for migration of COLO Data Center to make everything up in a very short span of time. That felt like a reward moment to me when all the training and efforts worked out for the best.

4. What was your most memorable moment in your SEW journey?
My greatest moments at work have always been the ones that involves solving a problem or creating a solution for the customer. Creative thinking, outside the box solutions, and making sure our product or service provides the best solution is critical to having a successful work experience. 
Apart from it, I have lots of memorable moment with my colleagues here in SEW. Birthday Parties, hangouts & other reasons to celebrate are also a part of memorable moments.

5. What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?
First advice is to spend time to know yourself, who you really are and what your passion is. Start asking yourself what you really want. Try to imagine the ideal life for you. And then make it your goal to arrive in that dream destination of yours. 
Second is to have patience and faith. Everyone starts small. You may find yourself on the lowest part of the totem pole sometimes but for you to advance in life, you have to work hard like pretty much all the people around you.

Third, Surround yourself with people who trusts your abilities, supports you in each stage of your career, and respect you for your decisions.

I started my journey in 2013 as a fresher and currently I am working as Technical Lead. It has been a great learning opportunity and I am very fortunate to be a part of SEW. In this span of time, I have worked on many new things and faced many challenges. I am very thankful to have worked alongside a wonderful team who always has my back like a family in my all ups and downs.

2. What do you love about your job and working at SEW?
Best part of working with SEW is that I have never found myself alone. We work together as a family for a single vision & goal.
 
3. What was your most memorable moment in your SEW journey?
For me, all moments which I have spent in SEW are precious and memorable. Company growth so far has been amazing, and I am the witness of this. In my journey with SEW, I have got appreciated and rewarded a lot of time and each moment is a proud moment for me.
 
4. What do you find most challenging & most rewarding about your role at SEW?
Challenges are part of the journey but in SEW, we deal with it as one team and move forward towards our goal. 
 
5. What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?
Keep an open mind and be flexible to work on different work assignments & use every challenge as an opportunity to learn something new. Enjoy your work and continue to learn no matter which stage of career you are in.
